About Us

The City of Meridian in southwest Idaho is a perfect place to work, live and raise a family. Mayor Robert Simison leads this growing City of more than 91,000 residents that sits in the center of the booming Treasure Valley. Meridian is proud of its agricultural roots but is excited about the economic development that includes such major employers as Scentsy, Inc., Blue Cross of Idaho, United Heritage and many others. The Village at Meridian is drawing people from all over the Valley to its high end stores, theater and wonderful eating establishments. Meridian is built for business, but designed for living! Orange Bags

New Year's resolution to recycle more? Looking for the orange bags? You can find them in lots of stores around town including Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and Target! Plastics 4-7 can go in the orange bags. Things like chip and candy bags, straws, foam to-go boxes, bubble wrap, and toothpaste tubes. We appreciate everything you do to keep contamination out of our recycle stream. For more tips and tricks that come with the orange bags, take a look at this video! #TrashTalkTuesday

It's okay to call your friends to brag about your football team's big win or talk some smack to the rest of your Fantasy group after that big play... just not while you're behind the wheel. :) Happy Sunday, Meridian! #MyMeridian #HandsFreeMeridian #SafetyFirst #SafeCommunity
