Coiled Wines, Founder & Winemaker
Coiled is named in honor of Idaho’s first grape-growing appellation, the Snake River Valley. The brand officially began with the release of our 2008 Syrah. We started at 380 cases and now make 2,000 cases, with a range of wines made from Idaho grapes. These wines include our Dry Riesling, Sidewinder (Syrah blend), Black Mamba
(Petit Verdot blend), Rizza (Sparkling Brut Riesling),
Chablis-style Chardonnay, and Petite Sirah (grapes grown
in Calistoga, CA). All Coiled wines are made from vine to wine under our roof.
Garden City Winery & Tasting Room
Garden City is nestled by the Boise River and the surrounding capital city of Boise. Our winery is located here among many other craft beverage producers. All of Coiled wines are now made at this location and we have a tasting room here as well. Visitors are encouraged to visit where we make the wine and sample our offerings in the inviting and elegant setting of our tasting room.
The Translations Story
Translations is our second label and is currently at just over 1,000 cases. I buy developing wines from neighboring wine regions, then blend and refine them before bottling. These wines come in a range of styles and price points, allowing us to broaden what we have to offer our customers.
