DISCOVERY CENTER OF IDAHO
What We Do
Discovery Center of Idaho is Idaho’s only hands-on science center. We provide fun, interactive STEM learning by bringing the community over 150 hands on exhibits, non-traditional educational programming for all ages, and a safe space for all to explore. Located in the heart of Boise’s downtown, we’ve been inspiring lifelong interest and learning in science, technology, engineering, and math since 1988.
The Discovery Center of Idaho is a private non-profit 501c3 corporation existing without state or federal funding, dependent on Tax deductible contributions from community minded citizens, corporations, and foundations. Give today!
We are also excited to provide astronomy activity kits for check-out! These kits come from our partnership with the NISE Network and are the perfect way to provide hands-on connections to important STEM concepts at your event. Each kit is fully stocked with the supplies you need, including facilitator instructions, so you can run the activity on your own. For more details and to request a kit, please use the form HERE.

*Spring means busy field trip season at the Center! We know a Center full of students isn’t always the best experience for some of our youngest visitors or those sensitive to large crowds and sounds. Feel free to call ahead if you’d like to check our field trip schedule prior to planning your visit. We can help you find a quieter time to enjoy the Center!
