The Path To Success Starts Here.

According to a national survey conducted in 2018, Americans with a college education report they are happier, healthier and enjoying a higher quality of life than respondents with a high school education or less.

“Speaking as someone who’s gone through higher education, having these opportunities, and having these facilities and faculty, it’s really just an investment in Idaho. You can’t put a price on that.”

– Bill Thurston, University of Idaho

A Higher Return On Investment.

Graduates from Idaho’s institutions of higher learning have made immeasurable contributions to our state and local communities, including more than $4 billion a year to our state’s economy. Those with post-secondary education are more likely to be employed and more likely to save our government money by relying less on government to pay for health care and other safety-net programs.

“If I had someone asking me, should I go right into the workforce or should I go into higher education? I would say higher education because the possibilities are endless.”

– Dustin Wendt, Lewis-Clark State College

85% of Jobs in 2030 Don’t Exist Yet.

Human talent is the most important driver of economic vitality. Idaho’s business leaders have reported that the lack of skilled workers was their #1 problem*. 60% of our 25-34-year-old workers will need to hold post-secondary credentials. It’s not realistic to think we can solve this challenge with an out-of-state workforce. We have the human resources growing in our own state and the institutions of higher learning that are ready and able to take on the challenges Idaho faces today and tomorrow.
