      Optometry Services

At Eye 2 Eye Idaho, we are pleased to offer a wide range of optometry services for our community! Our experienced optometrists can provide you with thorough eye evaluations, determine if you need corrective lenses and your exact prescription strength, fit you with the appropriate specialty eyewear, and help you pick out the most flattering pair of glasses for your face shape and skin tone.

Our new patient appointments always begin with a comprehensive eye exam. If you are unsure of your family’s eye health history, it’s helpful to research beforehand, so we can better evaluate your own eye health. If you have never had a comprehensive exam, don’t worry! All the tests and exercises are simple and painless.

Dr. Schwers, Dr. Hall, and Dr. Graviet can diagnose and treat eye diseases and identify general eye health problems including diabetes, anemia, high blood pressure, and others. We can also test for and fit specialty eyewear for sports, occupations, other activities and hobbies, and safety glasses.

Eye Infections, Eye Injuries, Dry Eyes

Our office provides emergency services for eye infections and eye injuries.

Please call our office at 208.939.7000 during office hours, after hours or on weekends. Our staff will work with you to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

State of the art microscopes allow us to examine the front surface of the eye and facial areas around the eye for infection or injury. After assessing the extent of the injury or infection a treatment plan will be formulated and explained to you. Treatment may include medications and supportive care. Follow-up visits to monitor your recovery will be scheduled as needed.

Dry Eyes: Symptoms include scratchy eyes, burning, mild redness and gritty feeling eyes. Oral medications, reading, computer tasks and dry environments may aggravate marginally dry eyes. Dry eyes can be diagnosed by using dyes to observe tear patterns, evaluation of the amount of tears on the front of the eye and from review of your symptoms. Treatment may include artificial tears; eye drops for treating allergies; and/or punctal plugs inserted in the tear drainage canals.

      About Lasik

Extraordinary advances in the treatment of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism have been made possible with the introduction of laser technology. This technology is sophisticated, precise, and accurate, aided by computer-based measurements that customize each procedure.

In the fall of 1995, the excimer laser was approved by the FDA. Guided by a skilled surgeon, the excimer laser precisely produces a gentle beam of “cool” laser light, which does not burn, but vaporizes a microscopic amount of tissue to reshape the cornea. Laser vision correction is a highly effective, safe, and quick outpatient procedure. In the ten years after its introduction, more than 1,500,000 excimer procedures have been performed worldwide.

As your co-managing doctor, I specialize in the following medical tasks to be sure your outcome is successful!

Review treatment options and help select the best procedure for you
Perform a pre-operative evaluation and answer your questions to ensure you understand the procedure and that your expectations are realistic
Perform follow-up exams and prescribe or alter medications as needed
Evaluate your level of correction, and possibly assist in the decision for enhancement or lenses for any remaining nearsightedness or farsightedness
Continue to monitor the health of your eyes throughout your life

        Lenses

Our office offers an array of eyeglass lenses to meet individual vision requirements.

Some of the available lenses include:

        • High Index Lenses that are thinner and lighter than ordinary lenses.
        • Multifocal Lenses correct for near and distance vision (bifocal) or near, middle and distance vision (trifocal).
        • Progressive Addition Lenses are almost always a better option to correct near, middle and distance vision without the lines of bifocal or trifocal lenses.
        • Transitions Lenses that are clear indoors, but darken automatically when you go outdoors.
        • Polycarbonate Lenses are for children because they are lightweight and impact resistant.
        • Polarized Lenses reduce glare and provide protection from harmful UV rays.

        Sports & Protective Eyewear

Eye 2 Eye can prescribe specialized eyewear to protect your eyes at work or at play. Specialty frames and prescription or non-prescription lenses are available for all kinds of activities.

Recommendations and Reviews

Great staff, great Doctors just great people.
Great service and professional treatment.
Dr. Hall is the best!
The opticians are amazing. My dog got hold of my glasses and mangled them to what I thought was beyond repair. They were able to bend and tweak them back into wearable condition! Saved me tons of money!! ? We go to the Star location and just absolutely love them there!
