ABOUT US
It’s true. Not only do we make our donuts from scratch – Guru Donuts was built from scratch.
From humble beginnings out of a 1903 grocery store in Boise’s North End in 2012, followed by pop-up shops, fundraisers, donut speakeasy’s, and the Boise Farmer’s Market. Guru Donuts found it’s permanent home in the historic Idanha Building at 10th and Main Street in downtown Boise in July 2016.
Through the helping hands and support of family, friends, and neighbors, Guru Donuts has grown into an incredible business with incredible team members serving the amazing community of Boise.
The Guru story is one of true grit, heart centered service, and willingness to risk everything to go after your dreams. We hope we inspire you to dream big, share joy and LOVE DONUTS.
LOCAL INGREDIENTS.
We learned from our friends at the Boise Farmer’s Market that you leave the flavors in the hands of the growers. From local fresh eggs, family farmed regional flour, and expertly roasted coffee right here in Boise, we have sourced our favorite ingredients as close to home as possible. After all, donuts are a community effort.
MADE FRESH DAILY.
We hand craft our donuts fresh, from scratch every morning. The art of making a donut requires patience, discipline and commitment to detail. Our donuts are made the old fashioned way – taking extra care to make all our fillings and glazes with real ingredients. No shortcuts here.

Guru Donuts was built by and continues to thrive through the support of our community. We strive to always be responsible for our impact on our surroundings, and to enrich those around us through sourcing ingredients, partnerships/collaborations or giving back.
