About Us

Welcome to the Nampa Parks and Recreation. Good things happen when people and parks come together. Our parks and recreation facilities are a place where people gather and participate in wholesome activities. The Parks and Recreation Department is made up of the Harward Recreation Center, two Municipal Golf Courses, many beautiful parks, Kohlerlawn Cemetery, and many recreational activities. Read More

The Harward Recreation Center is a 140,000 square foot indoor facility offering many recreation amenities to the public.  Our mission is to provide quality programs and services, be responsive to the citizens, and play an active role in making Nampa a healthy community.

To ensure the safety of our members and visitors, the Harward Recreation Center will enforce all policies and procedures.  For a complete list and description of policies, please refer to our “policies and procedures” page or pick up a copy at the Rec Center Front Desk. Specific guidelines are available in each department of the facility.

OUR AMENITIES

Aquatics

The Nampa Recreation Center houses five indoor swimming pools with different features to offer great options for every swimmer.

Cardio Equipment

Throughout the lower corridor and upstairs mezzanine is an array of cardiovascular equipment.

Courts/Gymnasium

The Nampa Recreation Center has two collegiate size basketball courts.

Exercise Studios

Explore a large variety of group fitness classes available in one of our studios.

Indoor Track

Join us for a stroll, jog, or run on our 1/5th of a mile indoor track.

Kids in Action Day Camp

Our philosophy is focused on creating a fun and safe environment to give each child the opportunity to experience interesting activities while developing worthwhile friendships.

Fitness Trail

Our paved outdoor trail encircles the grounds at the Nampa Recreation Center.

Play Center

Nampa Recreation Center’s Play Center is the place that every child will love.

Preschool

The preschool at the Nampa Recreation Center is designed to provide your child with a variety of positive experiences to help develop self-esteem and enable your child to see himself or herself as a capable and successful individual.

Racquetball

The Nampa Recreation Center houses five racquetball courts that can be reserved for up to two hours per day!

Rock Climbing

Whether you are new to the exciting world of rock climbing or a seasoned pro, the Recreation Center rock walls have something for everyone.

Senior Center

The Senior Center, adjoining the Nampa Recreation Center’s east side, is a wonderful site for seniors to enjoy an assortment of fun activities.

Weight Room

The Nampa Recreation Center Weight Room features many pieces of equipment as well as traditional free weights and functional training options.

Youth Activity Center

The Youth Activity Center at the Nampa Recreation Center is a designated space just for kids!
