A Family Affair – Scott and Jennifer Nichols

We have lived in the Boise area for over 30 years. Scott was born in Michigan and loves riding his mules and training pointers. Jennifer is from Colorado and loves every kind of dog but has a soft spot for her Bernese Mountain dogs. We are both graduates of Colorado State University. We have 2 amazing daughters who grew up loving the outdoors and animals. Kelsey showed horses in 4-H and open shows, is a graduate of BSU, and manages a sheep ranch in California. Idaho Dog Park is an extension of our love for our pets and family and a positive way to share that with other pet owners.

Meet Dr. Pam Nichols

Dr. Pam graduated from Colorado State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a board member of the American Animal Hospital Association and owner of the Utah Animal Care Center. The Animal Care Center has been voted “Best in State” since 2013. She Founded the Utah Dog Parks located in Woods Cross and Salt Lake City, Utah over 10 years ago. The Utah Dog Park has been voted “Best in State” for the past three years and one of Utah’s Top 10 Best Small Business Employers in 2017.

Laura Nichols – Idaho Dog Park General Manager

Hi, my name is Laura! I manage Idaho Dog Park working side by side with my parents whom I adore!

In 2016 I graduated from College of Idaho with a major in Biology. From there, I traveled abroad to work in Kenya and Tanzania. Although I was there to pursue a medical career, I spent every minute of my spare time raising money for a street dog in Tanzania, which pushed me to reevaluate my future plans. After having worked in a doggie daycare leading up to graduation, my parents graciously offered me the opportunity to be part of their dream, and the rest was history!

My husband, Justin, and I live near Idaho City in the beautiful mountains! We are proud parents of 4 fur-babies and 3 llamas.

I am honored to be part of this amazing company, and look forward to seeing all of our clients every day!

Linsey – Shift Lead Since October 2019

My name is Linsey and dogs are my everything! I’ve been working with pups in daycare for over 4 years now and it’s been the best time of my life! When I’m not at work I’m probably out camping or hiking with my husband and dogs. Idaho Dog Park has been the best home for me and my dogs Ringo and Pepé, they love all the workers and pups!

Renee – Shift Lead Since November 2019

Hello I’m Renee’. I’m living my best semi-retired life at IDP! I met my rescue baby Kaiya at IDP and can’t imagine my life without her. Working in an environment where loving and caring for dogs and kitties was the perfect transition of 20 yrs. as educator/counselor. I also gained experience in caring for rescue dogs in China and the Middle East. I’m blessed to be part of the IDP family.

Keana – Shift Lead Since August 2020

Aloha! I’m Keana! Animals have been my passion my whole life. My pack not only includes my handsome shepherd Loki, but I also have a bunny named Tesseract, 3 lizards, 2 axolotls, a mouse, and some fish!! You’ll also catch Hela, Loki’s sister by my side a lot! Growing up I loved the movie “Hotel for Dogs”; it was just something I always want to do someday. Doggie daycare is PRETTY close to a “hotel” for dogs! I absolutely love my job!

Katie – Technician Since October 2020

Hi my name is Katie David. My dream job has always been to work with dogs, so when I got my interview at IDP, I knew I couldn’t pass it up! Dogs have always been my passion since I was a little girl. In my family we currently have Harley, a chocolate lab, and Marley, a St. Bernese. My goal one day is to have my own dog farm.

Chrissay – Shift Lead Since November 2020

Chrissay Crenshaw grew up in small town, Texas. She now lives in Boise with her partner and their chihuahua. She spends her time following her passions: caring for animals, writing, and working in environmental restoration and conservation. Chrissay is proud to be a part of the Idaho Dog Park family.

Bailey – Technician Since January 2021

Hello I’m Bailey. I have had a soft spot for animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve had a lot of animals over the years, but my current pack consists of 3 dogs – Barrett, River, and Sugar – and 2 cats. I’ve been working closely with dogs for a couple years now, as I worked for a groomer before switching over to Idaho Dog Park. I absolutely love my job (and so does Barrett)!

Margaret – Technician Since April 2021

Hi, my name is Margaret! I’m a senior at BSU who has worked with dogs since my sophomore year of high school. Dogs and animal justice are definitely one of my passions. I have a dog named Chief, two cats, and a rabbit who are my whole world!! Working at IDP has been one of my biggest blessings and I can’t imagine being anywhere else!

Cynica – Technician Since July 2021

I am super passionate about working with dogs and hope to someday be a trainer or a vet tech assistant! For now I’m definitely in love with being a kennel technician at Idaho Dog Park. Making sure all the dogs have a wonderful stay with us brings me so much joy!

Phoebe – Technician Since July 2021

Understanding Our Interview Process

All dogs must:

• Pass a temperament test.

• Be spayed or neutered by the age of 8 months.

• Have current vaccinations against Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Rabies, and Bordetella.

• Have an annual physical by a veterinarian stating that they are healthy enough for extended play.

• For the health of your pet and others, we highly recommend an annual fecal screen that is negative for parasites. Internal parasites can be, under the right conditions, easily transmitted to other dogs. Please talk with your veterinarian if you have any questions regarding parasites and healthcare.
