Hi, I’m Elizabeth Covert.
I’m the owner of In A Pinch Subs. I have an Associates Degree with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education, and experience as the director of a corporate childcare center. After years of teaching and directing I have experienced the difficulty of keeping the student to teacher ratio when teachers were out of the classroom due to illness or emergencies.
To fill this need, I have created In A Pinch Subs, providing well-trained professional substitutes for childcare industry.

We are currently contracted with more than 80 childcare centers in the Treasure Valley area. We have been in business since 2008 as a fully insured and locally-owned and operated company.

All of our employees are Pediatric and Infant CPR/First Aid certified and are fully licensed for both city and state with background checks on file. We are a member of Idaho Stars. Each of our substitute teachers earns continuing education hours through the Idaho Stars program as needed for renewal to ensure the highest quality of service.

We understand how stressful it is to have teachers out of the classroom at the last minute. With our skilled personnel, you maintain an ideal student-to-teacher ratio in your classes. We cover all of the employee costs such as Workers Comp, insurance and Social Security – you just make a phone call!
You can often book our subs within the hour at no additional cost.
