Our Workout Overview
Dynamic Boxing & Kickboxing Workout Classes
Our boxing-based fitness classes feature a dynamic combination of boxing and kickboxing with functional strength training.
In order to keep your workouts challenging, our boxing classes for adults (and teens) keep things fresh with a different workout every day.
Fusing Kickboxing & Boxing with Traditional Workouts
At RockBox Fitness, our personal trainers fuse boxing and kickboxing moves with functional training exercises for a full-body burn that targets every muscle group.
How Our Kickboxing Classes Work
Each class is 50 minutes long and changes every day.
You’ll circulate through two different boxing stations for half of the class, and rotate through 8-12 iPad kiosks, each with a different functional exercise, for the other half.
Each kiosk has over 900 different exercises loaded into them, ensuring variety with every class.
During any given workout, you can expect to punch, kick, push, pull, and more. Some workouts will incorporate kettlebells, dumbbells, benches, pull-up bars, and bands.

Wrap Up
You’ll prepare for our kickboxing class just as a professional would: wrapping up your hands and wrists. The primary purpose of wrapping up your hands is to protect your joints and bones.
The wraps will provide a protective barrier and help you avoid any injuries or uncomfortableness. Never wrapped up before? No problem. Our trainers will teach you how to wrap your hands and hit the bags like a champ.
Warm Up
No matter what kind of exercise you are about to do, warming up is key. We’re not gonna lie, our workouts are challenging. So before we get going, we want your cardiovascular system ready for what’s to come.
Our warm-up is dynamic, engaging, and designed to get your muscles firing. Best of all, it will help reduce the risk of injury. Get ready to rock hard and hit even harder.
Hit It
It’s time to get punching – and kicking. Our expert kickboxing & boxing trainers will talk you through every boxing combo and cheer you on as you hit your way through the workout.
If this is your first class, you’ll learn the six punches and three kicks before the class begins, and we’ll always be there to help you throughout the workout.
Push It
Kicking and punching are just one part of our workouts. We also mix in functional, strength-building exercises that target every muscle group.
These moves complement the previous portion of the workout to maximize fat-burning and muscle-building. You can expect to work with free weights, kettlebells, bands, and more.
Own It
You’ve put in the work and given it all you’ve got – so now it’s time to wipe your brow and cool down. This cooldown will allow your heart rate to slow and blood pressure to fall.
We’d like to say that our workouts get easier, but in reality, you’re just going to get better. Pat yourself on the back and bask in the high that comes with finishing a RockBox workout – and we’ll see you back in the arena next time.
Kickboxing FAQs
Will kickboxing give me abs?
You better believe our kickboxing classes will help give you abs. Nearly all of the exercises in our kickboxing classes will activate your abs.
But if you want abs, you’ve got to stick with it! And that’s why we offer accountability coaching membership. They’re ready to help you crush your fitness goals.
Accountability is key to getting those abs you’ve always wanted. Our RockBox Fitness studios near you can help make that happen.
How many times a week should I do kickboxing?
We recommend taking kickboxing fitness classes roughly three times a week. And that’s if your goal is to get in better shape by losing fat.
Having said that, the frequency of your kickboxing fitness classes depends on your goals and fitness level. For this reason, select locations offer body transformation programs that meet you where you’re at.
When it doubt, ask us when you come and try us for free. Our kickboxing personal trainers and coaches will be happy to help you develop the perfect fitness plan.
