Welcome to the Hyde House. Established in 2016 with the Monteith family, new owners (as of December 2020) Cynthia and Shelby – a mother/daughter team – are taking their own passions for food to the next level. With a background in catering and a belief that new recipes are meant to be sampled, both Cynthia and Shelby may be found in the kitchen cooking up something for customers to try.
Executive Chef Jake Arredondo who joined the Hyde House in mid-2020 formerly made his home with the Basque Market. His delicious and eclectic dishes are to be savored with sight, smell, and taste. He is the heart and soul of the Hyde House.
Adding to Chef Jake’s current menus, Grumps Wine Bar & Coffee Café joins the house bringing both an expanded wine selection and freshly roasted craft coffee by locally owned Identity Roasters. Along with Chef Jake’s breakfast and lunch items, CBD lattes are made with house-made CBD syrups. CBD lemonade, Kombucha, and specialty teas are also offered.
With Grumps Wine Bar & Coffee Café joining the Hyde House, you will find coffee and dessert pairings, coffee and wine flights, tea tastings, seasonal food selections, and other celebratory nods to coffee, wine, and curated CBD items.
Enjoy our offerings when you visit Hyde House or have your food items and CBD products safely delivered to you in the local area. Feel free also to visit Grumps-CBD, which is our online retail site.

CHEF JAKE ARREDONDO
Chef Arredondo grew up in Boise’s North End. Over the past 23 years he worked his way through numerous kitchens in Boise including notable establishments such as Murphy’s Seafood and Steakhouse, where he was Executive Chef, and The Basque Market on the historic Basque block. As a result, he has honed his skills in a variety of different cuisines and has worked with some remarkable products from around the world. At a young age he was blessed growing up with the amazing flavors and smells that came from his mother’s kitchen, inspiring him to pursue the art of cooking.
Reservations for meals at the Hyde House are encouraged, as inside seating is limited. Cynthia and Shelby welcome you to join them on the dog-friendly, year-round patio (no reservations required) to sip a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
