Treasure Valley Family YMCA
Welcome to the Treasure Valley Y. With four full-facility locations—the Downtown Boise YMCA, the West Boise YMCA and Boise City Aquatic Center, the Caldwell YMCA, and the South Meridian YMCA, plus activities at more than 80 locations around the Treasure Valley and 19 child development centers—we’re close to your neighborhood.
Let’s get to know each other.
The Y is committed to strengthening communities. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to have the Y experience. Our Financial Assistance program makes this possible.
We strengthen the foundations of community by developing successful youth, engaging people in healthy living, and instilling a commitment to social responsibility.
The YMCA’s focus on youth development is evident in their Child Development and Youth programs. These include child care, preschool, before and after school, sports, fitness, arts, education, leadership, and camp programs. The YMCA operates 23 childcare and preschool sites across the Treasure Valley and partners with many groups and organizations to provide hundreds of youth programs to tens of thousands of kids every year. These programs help children develop values, improve skills, and build healthy relationships, which results in positive behaviors, better health, and academic achievement.
Through the YMCA’s four Treasure Valley facilities and hundreds of programs, youth, adults, and families have access to endless opportunities to achieve healthy living. There is a place for everyone in the YMCA’s programs, which include swimming, land and water sports, weight loss and nutrition, disease prevention and management, wellness coaching, workplace wellness, group exercise, baby/parenting wellness, and a dozen community-based races and triathlons held throughout the year. YMCA staff are qualified and devoted to providing the support and safety one may need on his/her journey to a healthier, happier life.
The YMCA’s commitment to social responsibility and to providing support to community members of all ages to help them reach their potential and live a healthy, happy life is at the root of its work. The YMCA believes every child is of promise and that the Treasure Valley can be the healthiest place on earth, yet there are many serious issues that keep these beliefs from becoming a reality. And as the Treasure Valley grows, so do these issues and the need for the YMCA’s presence in the community.
The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is a 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit Organization.
Our Federal Tax ID number is 82-0200908.
Amid the evolving circumstances around COVID-19, we have decided to postpone or cancel many of our programs. The health, well-being, and safety of our members, program participants, and staff is our top priority and canceling programs gives us time to plan and adapt to be as safe as possible. In light of these changes, we invite you to update your membership preferences HERE.

#HappyThought Friday! It's an oldie, but a goodie and one of our favorite videos to date. From water safety to social responsibility this story has it all. You can still catch Noail and his family around the Downtown Y, where Noail works as lifeguard. We are proud to have the Ishos as part of our #YMCA family. #OpportunitiesForAll #SocialResponsibility #WaterSafety #SoMuchMorePosted by Treasure Valley Family YMCA on Friday, June 12, 2015

Youth learn water safety at the YMCA
MAKE A SPLASH is a water safety initiative to provide access to swim lessons, at low to no cost, for children in the Treasure Valley. It is a proactive approach to teaching basic swimming and safety skills to our youth and is currently reaching over 2,000 third graders in the Treasure Valley. As Idaho has the second highest drowning rate in the nation, the Treasure Valley Family YMCA has made it one of our priorities to reverse this statistic.Posted by Treasure Valley Family YMCA on Friday, November 15, 2019
