Is it Time to Replace Your Home HVAC System?

It can be difficult to determine whether your system is simply in need of maintenance or repairs or actually needs to be replaced. We can come out for an inspection of your unit to find the source of the problem and make a recommendation. You can rely on us for an honest assessment and to explain exactly what is happening with your system in a way you can understand.

A few examples of signs a piece of your equipment needs to be replaced include:

  • It is operating inefficiently.
  • It is making strange noises.
  • It is not heating/cooling properly.
  • It is more than 15 years old.
  • It is not heating/cooling evenly.
  • Your bills are higher than usual.

Installing Reliable, Lasting HVAC Products

The cost of a replacement or upgrade can seem significant initially, but consider it an investment in the value and comfort of your home. Replacing a water heater, heater, or air conditioner can significantly improve your overall indoor comfort, as well as the overall efficiency. We can help you to consider your budget, the size of your home, and your needs to make the most appropriate choice.

When winter weather brings cold temperatures, many people turn to space heaters to help supplement the heat in their home. While modern spaces heaters (ones that have current safety features like tip over shut off switches) can certainly be useful as a short-term way to heat specific areas without turning up the heat in the whole house, they should always be used with safety precautions in mind.Electric space heaters are high-wattage appliances that if not used properly, pose a significant fire hazard. According to the National Fire Protection Association, space heaters cause 43 percent of home heating fires each year, and are the second leading cause of fire-related deaths. Each year space heaters are responsible for about 55,000 fires, 450 deaths and more than 1,500 injuries.Check out our bloghttps://www.westernhvac.com/blog/2019/march/space-heater-safety-before-you-plug-in-that-spac/

5 REASONS TO CONSIDER A DUCTLESS MINI-SPLIT SYSTEMComfortDuctless units can be used to bring comfort to specific areas like additions, bonus rooms, workshops, garages or any rooms that need additional heating or coolingFlexibility Ductless is ideal for creating independent temperature “zones” in different rooms, as a way to minimize heating and cooling rooms you are not using.Energy efficiency In the average home you can lose as much as 25 percent or more of your energy to ductwork. Because there are no ducts, they are don’t have air leaks, pressure imbalances or heat gains that undermine efficiency and comfort.InstallationThe ductless systems consist of a small indoor unit and a compact outdoor unit and require only a small hole to be drilled through the wall and are less vulnerable to air leaks and do not present the potential security risk of window units. Plus, they are less visible and quieter. No DuctsIf you want to add comfort to a home that does not have existing ductwork, ductless systems can be a less expensive option to adding ductwork which can involve major remodel. To see if a Ductless system is the right choice for you call one our experts at Western Heating. We’ll give you the information you need and estimates are free. For More information on Ductless mini-split systems check out our blog at … https://www.westernhvac.com/blog/2019/february/is-a-ductless-system-right-for-you-/
