20th Anniversary 2021
Best Small Town Throw Down
– The Best Small Town, Throw Down Around –
Eagle Rodeo Official Release
The Eagle Rodeo Board of Directors has made the incredibly tough decision to cancel the 2020 Eagle rodeo in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In making this decision, we had to look at the big picture; to be responsible and navigate the recommendations from the state of Idaho, local government and health districts, and other professional rodeos around the Northwest. There were many factors that were taken under consideration, but ultimately, the health and well being of our participants, fans, and their families is our top priority.
The Board recognizes what rodeo means to our community and we appreciate the unwavering loyalty and faith our fans, contestants, and volunteers have in us. Hard work, responsibility, and family are the tenets of rodeo we all live by. It’s more than just bulls, broncs, and beer- it’s trust and loyalty from our rodeo family, and the partnerships with our corporate partners, fans, volunteers, and contestants. In these difficult times, the continued safety of that community is paramount, and we feel it is our responsibility to look at every angle.
From our rodeo family to yours- stay safe, be kind and well, and get ready to throw down with us in 2021. It’ll be the 20th anniversary of the Eagle Rodeo and we can’t wait to share it with you.
The 2021 Eagle Rodeo event will take place during our usual scheduled dates in June.
Sometimes good causes are right at our doorstep and we often ask ourselves, “How can we help?” By supporting the Eagle Rodeo you are helping, and we’d like to thank you.
Through the money generated by ticket sales, Eagle Rodeo is able to donate money each year to local organizations and charities that directly benefit our community. Some are geared toward education and healing, some toward youth, while others provide much needed monetary support to our returning veterans. Past recipients are honored for their dedication in serving our community through the outreach programs they run.
Spectators glimpse only mere seconds of the wild and thrilling saga of cowboy versus beast. This dance of dazzling, rough, and often scary entertainment occurs in a flash of pure adrenaline and is over in a brief eight seconds…or sooner. As everyone waits for the results wondering just who won, cowboy or beast, the stock contractors already know–the audience won.

Tracy started with the rodeo in 2002. As one of the original members, he continued, with the help of mutual friends and a new board, to make the Eagle Rodeo the success it is today. The conversation started simply with, “Let’s put on a rodeo.” The rest is history.

While driving by the rodeo grounds in 2007, David noticed a few familiar pick-up trucks. Since those familiar pick-up trucks were owned by some of his buddies, he stopped by to say hello. The board was a bit short handed that night, so they asked him to help out and work the contestant gate. David was asked by his buddies to join the following year when a member spot became available.
