Our Veterinary Medical Center is dedicated to building a relationship with you and your pet through knowledgeable, compassionate care, and honest client communication.

We provide a full range of services for pet owners from basic wellness care to surgery and medicine for animals that are injured or ill.

VETERINARY SERVICES

Our medical and surgical services for injured or ill pets are available to any pet owner regardless of their income level. This includes injuries that might require surgery like lacerations, broken bones, or ingested foreign objects. It also includes the diagnosis and treatment of ill pets with diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease, allergies, etc.

However, it is important to understand that we have a policy of providing wellness care and vaccinations only to pets belonging to households whose household income is equal or less than 75% of the median income for the county. This includes check-ups and annual vaccinations for pets that have no symptoms of illness, and dentistry for pets that just need teeth cleaning and polishing but have no dental disease present. This policy allows us to ensure that lower-income households have access to basic services and encourages those with higher incomes to establish a relationship with other veterinary hospitals in our area. This policy also helps our hospital focus on providing urgent care and surgery for any injured or ill pet that comes to our facility.

If you are seeking routine vaccinations and wellness care, you can visit our income guidelines to see if you qualify for services.

We won’t provide services that are not in the best interest of the animal involved, including cosmetic surgery; artificial insemination or other breeding programs; or surgical mutilations such as ear cropping, tail docking, or declawing. Additionally, any owner receiving charitable services from our hospital must agree to have their pet sterilized.

Walk-Ins:

Our Veterinary Medical Center often receives an overwhelming number of urgent cases. Even when fully staffed, it is not uncommon to have to turn clients away when the hospital is overloaded. The caseload has increased dramatically due to COVID-19 as financially impacted owners are increasingly being turned away by local veterinary hospitals and our facility is their only hope of receiving services. We receive a large number of walk-in urgent cases each day in addition to appointments, and the need to provide care very frequently exceeds our ability to provide that care.

When we reach these conditions where we cannot possibly provide safe and legally required standard of practice care to more public pets, and we have no choice but to stop receiving incoming patients and refer them to other hospitals in the valley.
