About Us

Peaceful Belly Farm is a 35-acre organic farm striving to honor and foster the collaboration with nature to build ecological resilience and community. We believe in diversity. We offer a farm cafe, cidery, farm stand and CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture), pick your own flowers and community jardin. Our certified organic vegetables support 200 CSA members, The New Boise Farmers Market, The Boise Co-op, and local restaurants.

At its heart, Peaceful Belly is a small family farm. We believe in genetic diversity, both domestic, wild and human. We grow over 180 types of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and berries and make hard cider. Our food is grown organically and is certified by the State of Idaho.

We can’t do what we do without the support of the community. We work hard to connect consumers with the people that produce food. We strive to create a better community not only with what we produce but also through our educational and outreach programs, and partnerships. Our goal is to ensure that our food can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of social class.

In our twenty years of farming we have learned so much. First and foremost is the importance of good stewardship for our soil, environment, water and community.

Peaceful Belly is an agrarian focused business. We are farmers who create artisan products from the soils we tend to. We aspire to be rooted in the community by influencing regional culinary innovation and maintaining ecological transparency in all our hand-crafted goods and inspirational events. They specialize in growing hand-raised vegetables, herbs, flowers, and berries that extend to over 180 different varieties of vegetables (most of which are heirloom). Owners, Clay and Josie Erskine believe in creating a healthy and sustainable agricultural system with their farming. Their practices include the use of cover crops, compost, drip irrigation, companion planting, without the use of any GMO seeds.

We are a Farm to Fork Cafe for folks with adventurous pallets that love fresh, innovative food that is plant inspired.

This is our Menu, maybe?

We are a small seasonal restaurant, and everything we make is in small batches. If something is at its peak of ripeness it will be in a dish. We do our best to update the menu daily, but we sell out of items fast and the menu changes. This menu below is maybe the menu you see when you come in or it may not be. Yes, we specialize in cider but we also serve some of the best local wines from our neighboring vineyards.
