Welcome to the Garden’s Winter Wonderland

Winter Garden AGlow – the Garden’s biggest fundraiser of the year – is a magnificent display of lights and decorations arranged throughout the Garden at night. Join us this holiday season as the Garden is transformed into a twinkling wonderland. Create memories with the ones you love and experience over 600,000 lights hung artfully among our landscape.

​This event offers our community an opportunity to come together and experience many holiday traditions all in one place. With timed ticketing and no more one-way path, the lines are shorter and you have more space to enjoy the event at your own pace!

Tickets are limited. So, get yours early before they sell out! One-hour timed ticketing blocks are available every thirty minutes.

Peek into the Garden Cottage to see what Santa and Mrs. Claus are up to, and even send the big guy a postcard! Enjoy snacks and warm drinks from local vendors while you check out the holiday express model train display, wander through the coolest tunnel of lights in Boise, and see what wondrous creation Illumicone has in store for you this year.

Winter Garden AGlow is open Wednesday – Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Nov 24th through Dec 31st.

ABOUT THE GARDEN

The Idaho Botanical Garden is a private, non-profit corporation existing without state or federal funding. The garden is completely dependent on tax-deductible contributions from community-minded citizens, corporations, foundations, and site rental. The Mission of the Idaho Botanical Garden is to provide a full garden experience for all ages that enhances community quality of life through plant collections, our education programs, and our entertainment, cultural and community events. Located in Boise’s Old Penitentiary Historic District, the Idaho Botanical Garden is dedicated to enhancing our community’s quality of life through fostering a love of nature and developing intellectual curiosity in people of all ages. Originally the site of the tree nursery and grounds of the State Penitentiary, the Garden is a living museum. The Garden provides enriching garden experiences through educational programs, botanical collections, a variety of entertainment, cultural and community events. It is also a refreshing and inspiring year-round outdoor destination for local residents and out-of-town visitors. Nestled at the base of the Boise Foothills, the Idaho Botanical Garden offers a beautiful location to host weddings, celebrate birthdays and hold private events.
