The Beginning
Butte Fence started in April of 1994 with two employees. We opened the Boise branch in October of 1995. We added our Twin Falls store in February 2007. In 2012 we built a new facility in Kimberly, Idaho that will better serve the Burley/Rupert and greater Twin Falls areas. We now have over 30 employees plus we use another 10 to 15 subcontractors. Our company has grown to become one of the largest vinyl fence companies in the west. Product representatives from across the nation remark that Butte Fence is one of the nicest fence facilities in the nation.

Idaho Custom Decks and Porch Railings
We use quality composite waterproof products that are guaranteed to never need refinishing. Decks and docks are custom designed by our trained staff. Porch Railing can be vinyl, composite or metal material with a variety of spindle types.
Maintenance Free | Composite Decks
Deck composite products include Fiberon, Timbertech, and Trex decking products offering a natural look and feel of wood without the maintenance with environmental friendly features including 25 year residential limited warranty. A wide variety of vinyl and composite porch railings are also available.
Custom Decks
Custom deck designs can vary from simple ground level layouts to multi-layered, multi-storied structures. Butte Fence generally uses a composite deck product for a maintenance free surface. Railings can be added for safety or for aesthetics. A shade awning over the top of your deck creates the ultimate backyard living area. Butte Fence has a large range of products in various colors. Many of these are on display at our show rooms in Meridian and Kimberly, Idaho. We invite you to come see the latest in composite decking.
Porch Railings
Butte Fence offers a wide variety of maintenance free porch railings. Vinyl railings offer many different looks with both horizontal rails and pickets as options. Standard 2×4 rails are the common selection but attractive T-top styles are available. Picket styles vary from our standard 7/8×1.5″ to many more decorative choices including: colonial, twist, octagonal, and forward bend. Metal spindles can also be incorporated with vinyl rails to provide a completely unique look. Vinyl railings can be used for upper stories and stairs. Wrought iron and composite porch railings are additional options. Wrought iron railings provide for maximum view with strength. Composite railings are generally used with composite decks and provide a more massive appearance.
Idaho Boat Docks & Floating Docks
Boat docks are the newest addition to the Butte family of maintenance free products. Boat docks are offered in two different styles. Traditional construction uses an ACE float, pressure treated wood substructure, and a maintenance free composite top. ACE floats have foam cores encased by hard plastic and are approved by the Army Corp of Engineers.
ACE floats have a 15 year warranty. The wood substructure is assembled using galvanized steel corners and angles. All bolts are metal to metal connections.
Vinyl Patio Covers | Garden Accessories | Gazebos | Boat Docks
Patio covers are custom built and are available in a louvered or lattice style. Garden items include vinyl arbors, vinyl picnic tables, vinyl trellis, and planters. Gazebos are custom built vinyl. Boat docks are custom built with ACE floats and composite tops or a Connect-A-Dock pre-molded system is available.
Butte Fence also Carries the Connect-A-Dock System
CAD docks are pre molded floats with a simple and effective connecting system. This design allows dock owners to change or add to their dock with little effort. This is the ideal dock for dock owners who do their own winterizing or need to move their dock with changing water heights.
Aluminum Gangways Docks
Gangways are generally aluminum frames with a Thru-Flow top. These provide a durable but lightweight approach to your dock. Gangways can also have aluminum handrails and can be made ADA compliant. Though Butte Fence does stock some standard gangway lengths, most are custom built to the length and width specification for each boat dock.
Butte Fence can install your boat dock, deliver your boat dock for you to install, or you can pick up your boat dock at either of our facilities. For those who would like to build their own dock, Butte Fence stocks all the hardware necessary for your project.
Custom Designed Patio Covers
Butte Fence patio covers are custom designed using traditional or special louver styles. They have structural steel inside the beams and can be installed on concrete, in the ground, on a patio or deck. patio covers are available in tan or white. Our trained patio cover installers will professionally complete the installation of your patio cover or provide materials for those who would like to construct their own.
Custom Fencing Products – Professional Fence Contractors
Butte Fence vinyl patio covers are custom built for each home or business. Our two basic designs use either a 2×2 shade slat or a 1×3 slat for a louver patio cover. The 2×2 design is similar to most wood structures. This design provides a more layered look and is the best style to create curves with the patio cover. The louver style patio cover is unique and the installer is able to route a louver pattern into the joists to accommodate the 1×3 slats. This style offers more complete shade and clean simple lines.
Free Standing or Mounted to Existing Building Structure Patio Covers
Either style generally uses a frame consisting of a 2×6 vinyl header and 2×4 vinyl joists. Both of these base members have structural steel inside. Posts can be mounted on concrete, wood decks, or even in the ground. Patio covers can be attached to the house or be free standing. These durable vinyl patio covers accommodate hanging planters or porch swings. The variations of these basic patio covers designs have been displayed in the photo gallery for you’re viewing pleasure.
Solid Aluminum Patio Covers
Aluminum Patio Covers with a traditional style “twin V” roof panel and extruded gutter design which is simple, attractive and economical. They are low maintenance with an all aluminum design with optional steel beam reinforcement for larger spans. Limited Lifetime Warranty on materials and paint finish and product engineering to help with your permit process. Up to a 20′ projection and any length available.
Flat Pan Aluminum Patio Covers
The Flat Pan aluminum patio cover is made out of an aluminum alloy folded into U shape panels that connect to one another with a special tongue and groove system. It is highly durable to weather damages but un-permitted to walk on. This type of patio cover is very affordable and provides a clean and smooth ceiling, which makes it more popular among homeowners.

Custom Designed Vinyl Gazebos – Outdoor Elegance
At Butte Fence our vinyl gazebos come in 8′, 10′ or 12′ diameters and are eight sided. These attractive yard structures can also be built with or without a deck. Other design options include railing and valance styles and cupola design.
Custom Designed Garden Gates & Arbors
Our wide selection of garden items fully complement our decks and vinyl fence products, and can be custom designed to finish any garden, backyard or patio.
Butte Fence can accent any backyard with a variety of maintenance free garden items. More popular items include arbors, picnic tables, garden boxes, flower boxes and trellis. Standard arbors are 4′ wide with either lattice or spoke sides. Larger custom arbors can be built to fit your special backyard need. Picnic tables are available in 6′ and 8′ widths. Garden boxes can be custom built on site or in our shop. Trellis are usually 6′ or 8′ tall but can be custom built for your specific garden need.
